The new Sony VAIO P Series netbook is a one of its kind in that it is smaller than a netbook and smarter than your everyday smartphone – what more can you ask of a perfect companion for on-the-move computing needs? First things first, this amazing piece of equipment weighs a mere 600g, meaning you can carry it very easily and what is more, it can easily and effortlessly slip into your netbook bag or even the pocket of your jacket.

The trackball of this netbook is complemented by additional mouse buttons and a touchpad which are located at either edge of the screen to allow comfortable and easy operation with both thumbs as you hold the machine in your two hands. It further features a built-in GPS and a brand new Digital Compass, another great feature for computing on-the-move as it will tell you your surroundings and all that’s happening. Needless to mention, you can be able to find a nearby restaurant or hotel if you happen to get lost in a foreign city.

The ‘on-the-go features’ are further boosted with the Everywair 3G on-board that will provide you with high-speed internet connectivity to all mobile networks, of course where applicable. Other notable features of the Sony VAIO P Series are the built-in accelerometer capable of responding to all physical movements. This sensor further recognizes when the netbook is turned on its side, which in turn automatically ‘flips’ the screen to a portrait mode to enable easy reading and viewing of the screen.

This great piece of art is brilliantly designed to provide easy operation, with a convenient and comfortable full-pitch keyboard that allows easy typing, and a bright and conveniently wide VAIO Display Plus screen that is perfectly balanced to allow viewing of 2 web pages side-by-side and to allow great viewing of movies. Still on point, there is the provision of dimming screen lighting to allow comfortable viewing while at the same time saving power.
